You can set up two-factor authentication (2FA) using a One-Time Password (OTP) when logging into AeyeScan. Please note that an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, is required for setup, so please have one ready in advance.

1. How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
・Setting up 2FA for your current account
After logging into AeyeScan, you can set up two-factor authentication for your current account. Go to Account Icon > User Settings, and click the "Configure Two Factor Authentication" button to set it up.
When you enable two-factor authentication, backup codes will be generated. Please keep them in a safe place.
・Setting up 2FA when creating a new account
If you have an Administrator or Master account, you can create new accounts with two-factor authentication already enabled. On the sub-account creation screen, check the "Required" box next to "Two Factor Authentication(optional):", and proceed to create the account.
Afterwards, when the user logs in with the newly created account, they will be prompted to set up two-factor authentication. Please follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
・Setting up 2FA for an existing account
If you have an Administrator or Master account, you can enable two-factor authentication for an existing account. Go to "Organization Settings" > "Subaccount", and click the edit icon for the target sub-account.
On the sub-account edit screen, check the "Require two factor authentication." box under Two Factor Authentication:, and click the update button.
2. How to Disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
・Disabling 2FA for your current account
Go to Account Icon > User Settings, and click the "Disable Two Factor Authentication" button to disable it. Additionally, you can click the "Change Two Factor Authentication" button to generate a new QR code to reconfigure two-factor authentication for your current account. If you log in using a backup code, please either disable two-factor authentication or reconfigure it.
・Disabling 2FA for an existing account
If you have an Administrator or Master account, you can disable two-factor authentication for an existing account. Go to "Organization Settings" > "Subaccount", and click the edit icon for the target sub-account.
On the sub-account edit screen, check the "Disable current two factor authentication." box under Two Factor Authentication:, and click the update button.
